Juanita Faye (Paden) Alpers, age 90, passed away on May 19, 2022 at Kenwood Plaza, St. John, KS. She was born on July 28, 1931 in Rural Macksville, KS., the daughter of John W. and Linda (Suiter) Paden. Juanita graduated from Hudson High School in 1949 where she was a cheerleader and played in the band. She attended Hutchinson Junior College and Kansas State University. She was a homemaker and past secretary of the Stafford County Extension Office, Secretary for the Dean of Women at Texas Western College in El Paso, TX., and secretary for the Hudson Attendance Center. Her memberships include, Trinity United Church of Christ, later know as Trinity Community Church where she was in charge of the cradle roll for many years and also sang in the church choir, Trinity Women’s Club, I.Q. Club, past member of Hudson Sunshine EHU, Ho-Ne-Pa Cattlewomen and past Master Homemaker winner. On Feb. 10, 1952, she married Marion Alpers on Feb. 10, 1952 at Holyrood, KS., he survives. Other survivors include a son, Kevin Jon (Barbara) Alpers, Hudson, KS; a daughter, Janell Kay (Reuel) Foote, Hudson, KS; a brother, Jerry (Kaye) Paden, Little River, KS; 5 grandchildren, Joshua (Jenny) Foote, Tyler (Leah) Alpers, Tabra (Shawn) Ward, Derek (Emilee) Foote, Taci (Tyler) Axman; 18 great grandchildren, Elijah Foote, Kaden Foote, Traetyn Foote, Kynnidy Foote, Brittney Schrag, Baylee Schrag, Brayden Schrag, Braxton Alpers, Easton Alpers, Brecken Alpers, Ryer Ward, Bowen Ward, Kalla Foote, Kolson Foote, Kyson Foote, Liddy Axman, Maris Axman, Graham Axman. A public visitation/viewing will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M., at the Minnis Chapel, St. John, KS., with family present from 1:30 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, May 23, 2022 at the Trinity Community Church, Hudson, KS., with Pastor Wade Russell presiding. A private family inurnment service will take place in the Trinity Cemetery, Hudson, KS. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Trinity Community Church, Clarence and Vera Alpers 4-H Scholarship Fund/GBCF or the USD-350 Education Foundation all in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O.
