Wyatt W. Henkle, age 15, passed away March 13, 2019 at Great Bend, KS. He was born on November 21, 2003 at Hutchinson, KS, the son of Chad W. and Denise L. (Dietz) Henkle. He was a student at USD 350 St. John-Hudson and a resident of Hudson, KS, formerly of Ellinwood, KS. Wyatt was a member of the Peace Church, rural Hudson, KS. He participated in Football and Track at Ellinwood Schools and Football at St. John-Hudson. He loved motor sports, hunting and fishing. Survivors include his mother, Denise L. Henkle (Jeremy Weiland), Hudson, KS; a sister, Shelby Henkle (Caleb Straub), Dodge City, KS; girlfriend, America Fernandez Zavala, St. John, KS; maternal grandparents, Stuart and Linda Dietz, Hudson, KS; paternal grandparents, Robert and Cheryl Henkle, Seward, KS, Karen Herrenbruck, Ellinwood, KS. He was preceded in death by his father, Chad W. Henkle in 2011. Visitation will be from 1-7PM on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Minnis Chapel, St. John, KS. Funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at the IOOF Lodge, 700 E. 1st Ave., St. John, KS, with Pastor Wade Russell presiding. Burial will follow in the Peace Cemetery, North of Hudson, KS. Memorials may be given to the USD-350 Education Foundation in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
