Wilford "Willie" B Mastin

St. John, KS

Wilford B. “Willie” Mastin, 88, passed away November 6, 2026, at the Stafford County Hospital, Stafford, KS. He was born February 20, 1938, north of St. John, KS, the son of Bert and Bertha Mae (Steadman) Mastin.

Willie was a farmer, truck driver, and a school bus driver. He was a US Army Veteran serving two tours in Vietnam and one tour in Korea.

He served as a volunteer firefighter at Hudson, KS, and was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars.

On March 8, 1978, he married Darlene K. Tolle in Miami, OK. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Cliff (Susie) Mastin, Lanny Mastin, and William Mastin, two daughters, Kathy Tyler and Elizabeth Schwegel, two sisters-in-law, Charlotte Mastin, and Janis Mastin, 21 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son James Mastin, three brothers, Hiram, Bert and Vernon Mastin, three sisters Margaret Piland, Rosalee Mastin, Beatrice Floss and 5 great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Minnis Chapel 526 E. 4th, St. John, KS with Pastor Wade Russell presiding. Inurnment will be immediately following the service in Fairview Park Cemetery with military honors provided by the US Army Honor Guard. Everyone is invited to a meal after the burial.
