Twila loved the outdoors and over her life she had many pets. Even wild pets! She had a pet raccoon, dogs, cats, birds, squirrels, ducks, geese, goats, doves, chickens and more. She was a caretaker by nature with her nursing background. She loved to fish. Joe coon hunted and Twila only went with him one time, she hated the coons being treed and hunted by coon dogs. Twila always was quick to make sure if anybody was working around the yard that they ate and had plenty to drink. Joe and Twila were married 41 years and had a great love for one another. Twila was a very proud step-mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Joe shared a story about Twila feeding her birds, as Rita was writing this eulogy, her husband Mike looked out the window and a big white dove was feasting, minutes later there was a Cardinal. That was Twila letting Joe know she made it to Heaven. He said little finches would peck at the window as to say….come feed me. She is resting on that mountain with no pain.
