Ruth Stone

Ruth Stone , age 100, passed away Oct. 11, 2014 at Bay Vista Rehabilitation Center, Long Beach, CA.  She was born on Dec. 22, 1913 the daughter of Bernard F. and Louise E. ( Wustenfield ) Adams.  She was a homemaker.  On May 1, 1935 she married Vestal Stone in Hutchinson, KS, he preceded her in death.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lakewood, Long Beach, CA.  Survivors include, a son, Lloyd Stone, South Hutchinson, KS; two daughters, Cynthia Mackay, Lakewood, CA, Janette Glenn, Ardmore, OK; a sister, Margaret Ikerd , Newton, KS; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers , Bernard, Paul, Harold and James Adams; sisters, Lois Lamkins Langdon and Esther Spangenberg.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014 at Minnis Chapel, St. John with Jasper Franklin presiding. Burial will follow in the Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John. Memorials may be given to Heart Ministries Inc. at Victory Village Christian Academy, P.O. Box 2068, Hutchinson, KS, 67504-2068.  Minnis Chapel, St. John in charge of arrangements.
