Ronald Dean Overbey, 70, of Macksville, Kansas, died Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at his home.  Born on August 9,1947, in Winfield, Kansas he was a son of Gilbert E. Overbey and Mineva (Schusselle) Zimmer.  He worked most of his life in the oilfield and also as a welder.  Surviving members of the family include his children; Merle Dean Overbey, Jimmy Lee Overbey, Gilbert Dean Overbey, Linda Kay Capps, and Melinda Sue Gallo; Siblings, Don Overbey and Carolyn Sue Qualls and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter and granddaughter.  Inurnment will be at 11:00 AM, July 7, 2018 at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, 24547-61st Rd., Arkansas City, KS.  A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, August 19, 2018 at the Macksville Christian Church, 234 N. Sheaffer St., Macksville, KS.
