Robert Siefkes

Robert Dean Siefkes, age 66 passed away on June 26, 2017 at his home. He was born on May 11, 1951 at Stafford, KS, the son of Melvin and Leona (Teichmann) Siefkes. A life-long resident of rural Hudson, KS, he was an Agronomist for Tyree Ag, Inc. of Kinsley, KS. Robert received his BS Degree in Agricultural Science and Animal Husbandry from Fort Hays State University. On Aug. 7, 1971 he married Carol (Gee) at St. John, KS. His memberships include, Peace Church, Hudson, KS., where he was president of the church board, lifetime member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, lifetime member of the National Rifle Association-Fort Zarah Chapter, where he was the former president and current treasurer and former clerk of Hayes Township board. He is survived by his wife Carol, Hudson, KS, two daughters, Jill French (Ross), Salina, KS, Julie Goetz (Doug), Salina, KS; a brother Verlin Siefkes (Sonya), Newton, KS; a sister, Jan Sunday (George), Edwardsville, KS; three grandchildren, Reagan and Taryn Goetz and Larkin French.
Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Peace Church, north of Hudson, KS with Pastor Wade Russell presiding. Burial will follow in the Peace cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, June 30th from 1-7PM at the funeral home with family present from 5:30PM-7PM. Memorials may be given to the Peace Church in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O.
