Raymond Swartz, Jr.

Raymond Swartz, Jr., age 81 passed away on Feb. 20, 2023 at Leisure Homestead, Stafford, KS.  He was born on Oct. 25, 1941 at Macksville, KS., the son of Raymond and Margaret (Wagaman) Swartz.  He worked in the grain elevator industry and was a life-long resident of Macksville, KS.  He was a Vietnam veteran of the US Army and had memberships to the Macksville Christian Church and the American Legion.  He is survived by two brothers, Robert Swartz, San Diego, CA., Ronald (Sarah) Swartz, Philippines; a sister, Carolyn Hunt, Larned, KS. He was preceded in death by both parents, brothers, William and Richard Swartz; Virginia Shearrer and Betty Hood.  Visitation will be from 4-7 PM, Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023 at Minnis Chapel, Macksville, KS.  Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, Feb. 27, 2023 at the Macksville Christian Church with Pastors Jacob Russell and Carey Haner presiding.  Burial with military honors will follow in the Farmington Cemetery, Macksville, KS.  Memorials may be given to Pawnee Co. Humane Society or as a Love Gift to the Family in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS  67576.

**The family has asked that people wear their favorite sports apparel to the funeral. Mustangs, Chiefs and Kansas Jayhawks.
