Marie Piland Adams passed from this life on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 in Edmond, Ok. She was born July 19, 1921 in Macksville, KS, to E.E. and Pearl Brown Piland. She married Herschell Adams August 6, 1939, at Hopewell, KS. He preceded her in death in 1969. Marie was a homemaker and member of Quail Springs Methodist Church in Edmond, Ok.
Marie is survived by daughters, Patricia Adams Black of Newton, KS and Romona Adams McKibben of Edmond, OK; 3 grandchildren, James Black and wife Shelley of Newton, KS, Brian Black of Park City, KS, and Christel McKibben Longoria and husband Ben of Edmond, OK; great grandchildren; Christen Black Martens and husband Nathaniel, Tyler Black, Joshua, Megan, and Declan Longoria, and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Russell, Joseph, and Boyd Piland, and a sister Gladys Piland Young.
Celebration of life will be 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Grace United Methodist Church in Macksville, KS, with Pastor Byoung Lee presiding. Burial will follow in Farmington Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Family suggests memorials to the Grace United Methodist Church in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, Ks 67576.
