Norma Long

Norma Bee Long, age 87, passed away Dec. 14, 2015 at Wesley Towers, Hutchinson, KS.  She was born on May 28, 1928 at Macksville, KS, the daughter of Raymond and Mary E. (Graebner) Neill.  She was a homemaker and resident of Hutchinson for over 40 years.  Her memberships were Alpha Tau Sorority, PEO, Extension Council, Methodist Churches, Hesperian Club and Bridge Clubs.  On Dec. 12, 1947 she married Maurice Dale “Morrie” Long in Wichita, KS, he preceded her in death.  Survivors include two sons, Gerald R. “Jerry” Long, St. John, KS, Thomas D. Long (Nita), Omaha, NE; a daughter, Trudie K. Blender (Howard), Emporia, KS; a niece, Jan Wingad, San Jose, CA; 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.  Memorial services will be 10:30 AM on Monday, Dec. 21, 2015 at Minnis Chapel, St. John with Pastor Nathan Gift presiding. There will be a 3:00 PM gathering that same day at Wesley Towers, Hutchinson.  Visitation will be on Sunday from Noon until 3:00PM at the funeral home in St. John.  Memorials may be given to the Wesley Towers Foundation or Hesperian Club in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O.
