N. Witt, Jr.

N. Theodore “Pete” Witt, Jr., age 72, passed away Sunday, February 01, 2015 at his home in Hudson.  He was born on Sept. 1, 1942 at Great Bend, KS, the son of Norman Theodore and Erna (Drach) Witt. On Aug. 31, 1963 he married Ardis L. (Bourbina) at Abilene, KS.  A life-long resident of Hudson, he was a retired farmer/stockman, bus driver for USD 350 and buffer coordinator for the Stafford County Conservation Service. He was a member of the Trinity Community Church and served as Mayor of Hudson and Stafford County CROP Walk Co-coordinator. He also served on the USD 350 Education Foundation Board, Stafford County Zoning Board, Trinity Cemetery Board and the Stafford County Crime Stoppers Board. He was past member of the Hudson City Council, St. John-Hudson School Board, 1 ^st National Bank Board of Directors and the Center for Counseling Mental Health Board.  He is survived by his wife Ardis L. (Bourbina) Witt of the home, sons , Dr. Corbin T. Witt (Lori), Junction City, KS, Ryan T. Witt (Sheila), Hudson, KS; sisters , Patsy Gray (Curtis) and Linda Bunselmeyer (Leonard); four grandchildren , Chelsie and Shelbie Witt, Alexis and Braden Witt. Memorial service will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015 at the Trinity Community Church, Hudson, KS, with Pastor George Redington presiding.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to USD 350 Education Foundation, Golden Belt Hospice or Trinity Community Church in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS  67576.
