Michael ""RED"" Byer

Michael T. "Red" Byer, age 50 died Apr. 7, 2014 at Stafford County Hospital. He was born Jan. 31, 1963 at Kinsley, the son of Agnus L. Ellis. A resident of St. John since 1992, he was a chain hand in the oil field as well as welder at St. John Welding. On Apr. 2, 1982 he married Gayle L. (Gergen) at Larned, she survives of the home. Other survivors include a daughter, Tami (Shon) Mathwich, Chapman; a sister Connie Star, Great Bend; five grandchildren, Corie, Destiny, Isaiah, Angel and Anthony. He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother Sam. Peace Gathering will be 4:20 P.M., Sat., Apr. 12, 2014 in the Brown Park, St. John. Minnis Chapel, Inc.
