Merle LeRoy Ford, age 91, passed away July 17, 2019 at his home in Kinsley, KS. He was born on July 19, 1927 at Kinsley, KS, the son of Orville and Iva (McGill) Ford. LeRoy was a truck driver and a WWII veteran of the US Army. A resident of Kinsley since 1950, he married RosaLee Hathaway on Sept. 2, 1951 at Kinsley, KS, she survives of the home. Other survivors include two daughters, Trudy Burnett, (Bob), Kinsley, KS, Debbie Ford, Kinsley, KS; two sisters, Wilma Heape, (Paul) Stafford, KS, Patsy Schaller, (Bob) Wichita, KS; 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ford, a brother Glenn Ford, a grandchild and a great grandchild. Service will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Minnis Chapel, St. John with Pastor Kim Andrews presiding. Burial will follow in the Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John, KS. No visitation. Memorials may be given to the Kinsley Public Library in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
