Maurine Stimatze

Maurine Louise Stimatze, age 85, life-long area resident, passed away on Jan. 7, 2020 at Harry Hynes Hospice, Wichita, KS.  She was born on Mar. 3, 1934 at Larned, Kansas, the daughter of Leonard and Margaret (Beiser) Post. She was a homemaker and farmer and had membership at the Macksville Christian Church.  On Dec. 6, 1952 she married Gary Richard Stimatze at St. John, KS, he preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 2017.  Survivors include 3 sons, Rick Stimatze (Toni), Pawnee Rock, KS, Joe Stimatze (Laura), Macksville, KS, Gary Gene Stimatze (Rita), Macksville, KS; 5 daughters, Lisa Corr (Tom), Viola, KS, Jana Stimatze, Hutchinson, KS, Kay Stimatze (Abe Erdman), Kingman, KS, Jill Stimatze (Michael Osborne), St. John, KS, Reba Weisz (Clete), Hutchinson, KS; 26 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her husband Gary; daughters, Danya Lynn Stimatze and Gina Kay Stimatze; brothers, Jack, Leo and Larry Post; 2 grandchildren, Shane Landon Stimatze and Luke Austin Stimatze; great grandchild, Jailyn Goetz.  Visitation will be on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020 from 1-7 P.M., with family present from 5-7 P.M., at the funeral home in Macksville, KS.   Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, Jan. 10, 2020 at the Macksville Christian Church with Pastor Jacob Russell and John Hamm presiding. Burial will follow in the Farmington Cemetery, Macksville, KS.  Memorials may be given to the Macksville Christian Church or Harry Hynes Hospice in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O.
