Martha Graham
February 2, 1952 — July 30, 2014
Martha Jane “Janie” Graham , age 62, went to be with our Lord July 30 th at Leisure Homestead, St. John. She was born Feb. 2, 1952 to James and Mildred (Miles) Shepherd in Stafford. She graduated from St. John High School in 1970.
Janie was preceded in death by both parents, a brother Myron Shepherd, a sister June Mary Stucky, stillborn brother William Merle, stillborn sister Marlyn Kay and brother-in-law Lee Nusser.
Survivors include a son , Kenneth Van Cravens, (Shelby) and children Brenn, Remington, and Will, Ellsworth, KS; a daughter , Melonda Raye Mercer, (Bob), and children Dace, Audrey and Luke, St. John, KS; three sisters , Joy Moeckel (Bud), Hays, KS, Audrey Nusser and Sharon Smith, St. John, KS; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Minnis Chapel, St. John with Sister Catherine Therese presiding. Burial will follow in the Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John. Casket will be open only at the visitation from 1-7pm Friday at the funeral home with family present from 5-7pm.
