Lynda Kay Gilder

Lynda Kay (Rowland) Gilder, age 76, passed away on Dec. 27, 2023 at her home in Wichita.  She was born on Aug. 12, 1947 in Eldorado, KS., the daughter of Melvin T. and Dorothy M. (Cody) Rowland.  Lynda was a graduate of Augusta High School in 1965 and received her accounting degree from the Kansas School of Business in Wichita, and worked as an accountant most of her adult life.  She is survived by a son, Bruce E. (Shelly) Gilder, Wichita, KS; a sister, Deborah M. (Brett) Reed, St. John, KS.

Nieces and Nephews: Valerie Green, Sierra and Tyler McDowell, & Chrischel Peterman. Great Nieces and Nephews: Amber & Kyle Long, Michael & Kayla Gould, Erika & Jay Givens, Andrea Green & Zach Foy, Dylan Green, Emily Green, Erika Green, Ledger McDowell. Great Great Nieces & Nephews: Alex and Ayden Gould, Kade & Avery Long, Jaxon Givens, Zachary David Foy.

Preceding her in death: her father Melvin T. Rowland, her mother Dorothy M. Rowland, and nephew David Green.

Graveside service will be 1:00 PM, Jan. 5, 2024 at the Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John with Pastor Jerry Burley presiding.  A memorial service will also take place on Jan. 7, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Triumphant Faith Center, 5103 S. Seneca St., Wichita, KS  67217. Memorials are suggested to “the family” to offset expenses and may be mailed to Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS  67576.
