Lucille D. Blide

Lucille D. (Mansholt) Blide, age 95 passed away on Jan. 20, 2026 at Kenwood Plaza, St. John, KS. She was born on Nov. 19, 1930 at Downs, KS., the daughter of Henry John and Johanna Helena (Arkebauer)Mansholt. Moving to St. John in 1960, she had been a secretary and spent most of her time driving a school bus for the children of USD-350 St. John-Hudson schools. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Great Bend, KS. On Apr. 10, 1951 she married Keith Blide at Downs, KS., he passed away in 2007. Lucille is survived by a daughter, Linda D. Fisher, St. John, KS; two sons, Terry L. (Lisa) Blide, Ellis, KS, Brian K. (Mary) Blide, Larned, KS; a brother-in-law, Lowell Eberle, Derby, KS; four grandchildren, Staci (Todd) Willems, Travis Blide, Sara (Chris) Teeter, Grant Fisher; four great grandchildren, Hunter Teeter, Kraytyn Blide, Brooklynn Teeter and Tanner Willems; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents; a grandson, Jeremy Fisher; a son-in-law, Gregory Fisher; brothers, Leonard and Kenneth Mansholt; sisters, Marie Hadley, Norma Christianson and Berniece Eberle; and a special friend, Gene Rothenberger. Visitation will be on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026 from 1-5PM, with family present from 1-3PM. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, Jan. 26, 2026 at Minnis Chapel, St. John, with Pastor Wade Russell presiding. Burial will follow in the Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John, KS.
