Louise Eileen Harter, age 91, passed away on April 6, 2021 at the Stafford County Hospital in Stafford, KS. She was born on August 9, 1929 in rural Stafford, KS, the daughter of George and Florence (Hudson) Fehrenbacher. Louise was a lifelong resident of St. John, KS and a 1948 St. John high school graduate. She was a member of St. John The Apostle Catholic Church. On October 26, 1948 she married R. Dale Harter in Seward, KS. Louise worked as a dental assistant for B.J. Carlton, DDS and as a secretary for Hearthstone Nursing Home, as well for C.O. Mammels grocery store. Survivors include her son, David Harter, St. John; 4 Grandchildren; and 7 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. Dale; son, Dennis Harter; daughter Kathryn Gershner, two brothers, Wayne and Howard Fehrenbacher. Visitation will be Thursday, April 8th from 1 to 7:00 PM with family present from 5 to 7 P.M. at the Minnis Chapel, St. John, KS. Graveside service will be Friday April 9th at 1:30 PM at Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John, KS. Memorials may be given to St. John The Apostle Catholic Church or Kenwood Plaza in care of Minnis Chapel Inc, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS 67576
