Linda Joy Sizemore

Linda Joy (Hathaway) Sizemore, age 71 passed away on June 30, 2024 at Grand Plains Nursing Home, Pratt, KS. Linda was born on Sept. 11, 1952 at St. John, KS., the daughter of Willie and Sarah Esther (Griffin) Hathaway. She had been a cook for various local restaurants and facilities. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church and attended Eden Valley Church of the Brethren both of St. John. She married Gregg Knoche and to this union came two daughters, Tammy Knoche, St. John, KS. And April Knoche, Hutchinson, KS., they divorced in 1982. In 1984 she married the love of her life, Mike Sizemore and to this union came three daughters, Sara R. Tutak, Great Bend, KS., Heather J. Sizemore, Hoisington, KS., and Haley M. Sizemore, Stafford, KS., he passed away in 2005. Other survivors include three sisters, Marilyn (Bernie) Appelhans, Valley Center, KS., Joyce (Percy) Abshire, Boyce, LA., Judy Shelton, St. John, KS; two brothers, Jerry Hathaway, St. John, KS., Jim Hathaway, Colorado Springs, CO; 13 grandchildren, Megan, Shaylene, Chad, Ashley, Joshua, Savanah, Morgan, Rylea, MaKiah, Evan, Lane, Colt and Griffin; 9 great grandchildren, Brinley, Brielle, Lola, Thomas, Aden, Natalie, Elliott, Alex and Alaina. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Marlene White and Joan Pruett. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, July 5, 2024 at Minnis Chapel, St. John, with Roger Cooper presiding. Visitation will be that same day from 10AM until service time. Burial will follow in the Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John, KS.
