Lauren "Lonnie” A. Hayes, age 57, passed away on May 29, 2022 at his home in Viola, KS.  He was born on Apr. 27, 1965 in Elkhart, KS., the son of Norman and Vera R. (Webb) Hayes.  He was a 1983 St. John High School Graduate.  He worked as a shipping supervisor for Shackelford Machine and Repair at Clearwater, KS.  He is survived by his mother Vera R. Hayes, Viola, KS; a brother, Leonard E. Hayes (Gale), Wichita, KS; 4 sisters, Carolyn Turner, Sterling, KS., Rose Farmer (John), Sparks, NV; Evelyn Fehrenbach (Jim), Salina, KS; Lenora Lampe, Kansas City, KS; 4 nieces and 2 nephews.  Graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 6, 2022 at the Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John, KS., with pastor Roland Broeder presiding.  Memorials may be given to ASPCA in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS  67576.
