Jana Williamson

Jana Sue (Welch) Williamson of Emporia, died on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at her home. She was 86.

Jana was born on October 17, 1938, in Sterling, Kansas as the daughter of Marion and Juanita Haen Welch. She married Kent E. Williamson on June 8, 1958, in St. John, Kansas. He died on April 23, 2020, in Emporia.

She is survived by her daughters Keva (Robert) Scheib of Emporia, Kim (Tim) Romero of Brighton, Colorado, and Kala (Vance) Sprecher of Casper, Wyoming; a son, Robb Williamson, Lander, Wyoming; grandchildren, Kelsy and Alex Gray of Cypress, Texas, Luke Clifton of Cypress, Texas, Amanda Yates, Houston, Texas, Brooke and Jeremiah Bouthillier of Olpe, Jessica and Jerrod Schumann of Emporia, Hunter and Misti Scheib of Owasso, Oklahoma, Stephanie Sprecher and Paul Jeantete of Casper, Wyoming, Meghan Ferguson of Casper, Wyoming, Kate Sprecher of Casper, Wyoming, Tyler, Torin, Eli, Sean, Olivia, Brady Williamson, Lander, Wyoming and; eleven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kent, two grandchildren, Tory Clifton, Riley Williamson and two great-grandchildren, as well as a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Shirley Welch and sister, Marcia Koelsch, son-in-law Bill Yates.

Jana was a Secretary and Office Manager.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Fairview Park Cemetery in St. John, Kansas. Memorial contributions to Hand in Hand Hospice can be sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, Kansas 66801.
