Eugene Lutz

Eugene E. Lutz, age 85, passed away on Feb. 21, 2018 at Pratt, KS.  He was born on Oct. 18, 1932 at St. John, the son of Ivan Henry and Esther Ella (Bothum) Lutz.  A life-long resident of St. John, he was a retired Auto Mechanic and served his country in the US Navy Reserves and the US Army.  On Oct. 21, 1967 he married Leanna R. (Mawhirter) at Nowatta, OK, she survives.  Other survivors include a son, Brian Lutz (Shelby), Wichita, KS, Paula Bauman (Shawn), Wichita, KS; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Wayne and Howard.  A private family inurnment service will take place at a later date.  Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, ST. JOHN, KS  67576.
