Doris Swindle-Kennedy

Doris Jean (Rouse) Swindle-Kennedy, age 77, passed away Dec. 5, 2016 at Stafford County Hospital, Stafford, KS. She was born on Feb. 14, 1939 at Vinton, IA, the daughter of R.D. and Dorothy Mae (Fish) Rouse. She was a homemaker and former owner of her Dry Cleaning business in St. John. On May 18, 1967 she married Howard D. Kennedy at Miami, OK, he preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Craig Allen (Lorena) Rouse, Dodge City, KS; two grandchildren, grandson, Kristopher (Melissa) Rouse, Williamsport, PA and granddaughter, Carlie Jean Rouse, Dodge City, KS, two brothers, Raymond and Roger Rouse both of Vinton, IA; four sisters, Linda Bray, Andrews, SC, Diana Russom, Centerville, IA, Rose Lancos, Prairie Grove, AR, Ladonna Fairbanks, Vinton, IA; and niece, Traci Davis, Dodge City, KS. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, and a brother Warren Rouse. Memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, Dec. 19, 2016 at Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John with Pastor Wade Russell presiding.
