Donald R. Overbey, 75, was born in Winfield, Ks to Gilbert and Mineva (Schussele) Overbey on Nov. 15, 1945 and passed away on Nov. 22, 2020 in Macksville, KS. Don was a jack of all trades. His passion was spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, music, motorcycles, and working on cars. He was a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association, Macksville Christian Church, the founder of Overbey Ministries, Music For The Soul and was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame as a Great Blues Promoter and Ambassador. Don loved his family dearly. On April 8th, 1972, he married the love of his life, Rhea (Walker) at the Macksville, Christian Church. Don is survived by his wife Rhea, Macksville, Ks; sister, Carol Qualls, Macksville, Ks; daughters, Narissa Stevenson, Macksville, Ks, Ronda Leiker, Macksville, Ks, Daune Ann Beckman, Salina, Ks; Grandchildren Damon Stevenson, Clayton Aguirre, Ray Aguirre, Mareaca Maynard; Great-Grandchildren, Owen Stevenson, and Garrett Stevenson. Don was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Gib and Dean Overbey; sister, Barbara Minor and a great grandson, Andrew Stevenson. A memorial service will be held at the Macksville Christian Church Wednesday, Nov 25, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Memorials may be given to Autism Services of Kansas, or Macksville Christian Church, in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 34, St. John, Ks 67576.
