Donald Mayhew

Donald B. Mayhew, age 97, passed away on Nov. 24, 2016 at Great Bend.  He was born on Dec. 15, 1918 at Trousdale, the son of Frank and Coila (Kneeland) Mayhew.  He was a life-long resident of Trousdale where he was a farmer and machinist at Cross Mfg for 20 years. He was a member of the Trousdale United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity at Kansas State University and ROTC for three years.  On July 27 1941 he married Betty E. (Muir) at Salina, KS, she preceded in death on Nov. 1, 2012.  Survivors include a son, Stephen Mayhew, Lewis, KS; two daughters, Janice Westphal (Dennis), Galva, KS, Becky Lyman (Marc), Hutchinson, KS; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by both parents, his wife Betty and a sister, Margie Gregory.  Graveside service will be at 3:00 PM, Friday, Dec. 2nd, 2016 at the Belpre Cemetery, Belpre, KS with Pastor Jeff Mildren presiding.  Visitation will be on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 from 2-7PM at Minnis Chapel, Macksville, KS.  Memorials may be given to the Trousdale Volunteer Fire Dept. or the Trousdale United Methodist Church in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O.
