Cynthia L. Ryan

Cynthia Louise (Hoyt) Ryan age 67 of St. John went to be with the lord on January 18, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita Ks., with family by her side.  She was born March 24, 1955 in Bethesda, Maryland the daughter of Carl and Shirly (Mills) Hoyt. Cynthia attended grade school in Satanta, Ks. and was a graduate of Haven High School in Haven Ks. On July 26, 1986 in Hutchinson Ks. she married Larry Ryan of St. John Ks. where they made their home in rural Stafford County. As a country girl Cindy loved the farm and raising sheep, hogs, chickens and geese. She was passionate about her garden, flowers and cooking but more than anything, loved her motor trike rides, cruises and dancing with the love of her life for 36 years of marriage. She was employed by Stafford County from 1987 till the time of her passing. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and a past member of the Methodist Church in Hutchinson Ks. Cindy is survived by her loving husband Larry Ryan; brother Jeff Hoyt (Mona), Buhler Ks; son Allen Adams (Cassie), St. John Ks; daughter Christina Adcox (Mickey), Byars Ok; Grandchildren Tyler and Justin Adams; Isaac, Henry and Abigail Adcox. Preceded in death by her parents Carl and Shirly Hoyt, Sister Judith Hoyt; grandparents Ruth Parks, Ray and Lena Cheever, Della Luce, Orville and Stella Hoyt, Lena Mills. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023 from 3-6 PM (with family present) at Minnis Chapel, St. John, Ks. A second visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at the Attica Memorial Building, Attica, Ks. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Phoenix Home Care and Hospice or Barton County Humane Society, in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O.
