Chester Johnson

Chester Olus "Chet" Johnson, 96, of St. John, died Saturday, August 25th, 2018, at Leisure Homestead St. John.  He was born August 20, 1922 in Taneyville, Missouri to Guy and Lilly (Mitchell) Johnson.  Survivors include his wife Betty (Pruett) Johnson of the home; Children, Gary (Cathey) Johnson of Larned, Ks, Randy Johnson of St. John, Larry Johnson of St. John, Duane Johnson of St. John, Mary Rolo of Gransbury, Tx, Judy (John) Herder of Newton, Ks, Julie (David) Briggs of Newton, Ks; 13 Grandchildren; 15 Great Grandchildren; Sisters, Katie Cook of Forsyth, Mo and Christina Goeotz of Excelsior Springs, Mo. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Rex and John and six sisters, Rosie, Delphi, Sylvia, Audrey, Almie and Gladys.  At request of the family, there is no service.  Memorial contributions can be made as a love gift to Betty Johnson, in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 34, St. John, Ks 67576.
