Charlene Ivy (Goodman) Curtis Mastin, age 90 passed away on Oct. 26, 2018 at Johnstown Towers, Salina, KS.  She was born on Apr. 4, 1928 in Ness County, KS, the daughter of Ivory W. and Martha Louise (Fercking) Goodman.  Charlene was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse. Her memberships include, Saint Mary Catholic Church of Salina, Rebekah Lodge, Red Hats, TOPS, St. John The Apostle Catholic Church and Altar Society, Progressive Mother’s Club all of St. John. She moved to Salina in 2007, previously from Ransom and St. John. On Mar. 1, 1949 she married James E. Curtis in Ness County, KS., on Nov. 26, 1982 she married Hiram J. Mastin at St. John, KS, both preceded her in death. Survivors include 8 daughters, Pamela Charlene Portugal (Leonard), Hanford, CA, Jolene Marie Frink (Steven), St. John, KS, Lynnette Louise Schoshke (Kenny), Brookville, KS, Kimberly Ann Allen (Paul) Sedalia, MO, Michelle Denise Fairbank (Rod), Hays, KS, Jamie Christine McClure (Mitch), Colby, KS, Angela Sue Prasad (Shail), Rockaway, NJ, Nancy Ellen Alapa (Clarence), Kaaawa, HI; 25 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Ivory Goodman; 4 sisters, Ruby “Agnes” Shade, Anna Belle Wadhams, Martha “Marie” Davis and Leota “Margaret” Moody.  Rosary service will be at 3:00PM with Mass at 4:00PM on Monday, Oct. 29, 2018 at the Saint Mary Catholic Church, 230 E. Cloud St., Salina, KS, with Father Andy Hammeke.  There will be a public visitation on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018 at Minnis Chapel, 526 E. 4th, St. John, KS, with family present from 1-2PM.  Burial will follow at 3:00PM in the Stafford Cemetery, Stafford, KS.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Saint Mary Catholic Church or Meals on Wheels in care of Minnis Chapel, Inc., P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS  67576.
