Carolyn Sue (Overbey) Qualls, age 74 passed away on June 4, 2024 at her home in Macksville, KS. She was born on July 16, 1949 at Winfield, KS., the daughter of Gilbert Edgar and Mineva (Schussele) Overbey. She had worked for Waste Connections in Wichita as a human relations manager. She also worked in radio advertising sales in Pennsylvania, California and Kansas. On Aug. 25, 1984 she married Richard “Rick” Alan Qualls in Macksville, KS., he survives of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Ashley Sue Qualls, Pratt, KS; four grandchildren, Callena Marie Qualls, Maylee Sue Ketch, Allison Renae Ketch and Daxx Caden Ketch; a sister-in-law, Rhea Overbey, Macksville, KS; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents; three brothers, Gilbert, Ronald and Donald Overbey and a sister, Barbara Jean Minor. A celebration of life service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the Macksville Christian Church, Macksville, KS., with Pastor Jacob Russell presiding. Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
