SAINT JOHN

Brian Alan Brown

Brian Alan Brown passed away at his home in St. John, Kansas, on February 17, 2026. Brian was born on June 23, 1967, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Farren and Karen (Moser) Brown.

Brian spent the majority of his life in St. John, having moved there in 1981. He graduated from St. John High School in 1986 and went on to attend Fort Hays State University before returning to Stafford County to establish a career. He worked for companies including Moody Implement, Great Bend Farm Implement, Bob’s Hauling, and Harter Automotive. In January 2021, Brian became the proud owner of Triplet Automotive, NAPA. In October of 1990, Brian married Kristene Crissman, and together they raised a family in St. John. They cherished the arrival of their son, Schuyler, in 1996, and later their triplet daughters, Katrena, Kourtney, and Kerisa, in 1999.

Brian was known for his adventurous spirit, often seen flying in his paraplane in the skies above St. John and Stafford County. He had a longstanding passion for fast motorcycles and gun collecting, and most recently added skydiving to that list. Brian was also a creator at heart, utilizing his metal-working skills to build projects and explore new ways to express his passions.

Brian is survived by his wife, Kristene; his children, Schuyler Brown of Newton, Kansas; Katrena Brown of Valley Center, Kansas; Kourtney Brown of Plano, Texas; and Kerisa Brown of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is also survived by his brother, Darren Brown (Raedessa), of Okeechobee, Florida; his mother, Karen Brown Soden, of St. John, Kansas; his brother-in-laws, Kirby Crissman (Leah) and Ken Crissman (Rhonda) of St.John, Kansas; sister-in-law, Marcia Crissman of St. John, Kansas; and his nieces and nephews, Kinser and Kayla Crissman, Erin van Niekerk (Jannie), and Farren Brown.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Farren Brown; step-father, James Soden; father-in-law, Sam Crissman; mother-in-law, Sharon Crissman; and brother-in-law, Kelly Crissman.
