Bradley Eugene Lickiss

Rural St. John, KS

Bradley Eugene Lickiss, age 45, passed away on Apr. 21, 2024 at Wesley Medical
Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 3, 1979 to Myrl
Rex and Patricia (McMurphy) Harmon at Lyons, KS. Brad was a Farmer-Stockman,
a graduate of St. John High School in 1997 and a graduate of NCK Technical School
in Beloit, KS., where he received his diesel mechanic certification. He was a former
John Deere Combine mechanic before turning to his lifelong passion of farming
and ranching. He loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter, loved working on
classic cars and pickups. He was a proud supporter of his boys in their athletic
sports and was proud to support the Macksville Mustangs despite being a St. John
Tiger. He loved helping people from the neighbor down the road to the 4-H’ers of
Stafford County.
His memberships include, IOOF Lodge #539, Macksville Recreation Commission
board, Ninnescah Valley Archers, and past Stafford County Farm Bureau board
member and 21 Central Extension District board member. He was a valuable
volunteer when it came to helping with the Stafford County Fair each year.
On Jan. 6, 2001 he married Tessa Kay (Bevan) at Macksville, KS., she survives of
the home. Other survivors include two sons, Kaleb Bradley Lickiss, Trousdale, KS.,
Lance Rex Lickiss, of the home; two sisters, Sarah (Todd) Zauner, Wichita, KS.,
Suzanne Bohl, Phillipsburg, KS; his mother, Patricia Lickiss (Doug Risley), Sterling,
KS; his father, Brian (Arlene) Lickiss, Stafford, KS; his father-in-law and mother-in-
law, Allen and Denice Bevan, Macksville, KS; Grandparents-in-law Doyle & Peggy
Wilson, Macksville, KS & Wilbert Bevan, St John, KS; sister-in-law, Sheila Bevan,
Paola, KS; brothers-in-law, Cody Bevan, Macksville, KS., Derek (Ashlee) Bevan,
Bucklin, KS; nieces and nephews, Mark Harmon, Cody Harmon, Carter Zauner,
Oakley Bevan, Taylin Bevan, Caylee Bevan, Makayla Bevan and Landry Bevan
along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, buddies and friends.
He is proceeded in death by his father Rex, his brother Steven Harmon, his
maternal grandparents Marvin & Darlene McMurphy, paternal grandparents Myrl
& Amy Harmon, grandmother Ruth Lickiss, grandmother-in-law Phyllis Bevan and numerous
aunts, uncles, cousins, buddies and friends.
Brad was a casual man thus the family requests all those attending to please dress
casual.
A visitation will be on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 1-7 PM at Minnis Chapel, St.
John, KS., with family present from 5-7 PM. A celebration of life service will be
held on Friday, April 26, 2024, 11:00 am at the IOOF Lodge, 700 E. 1 st Ave., St.

John, KS., with Pastor Wade Russell presiding. Burial will follow in the Neelands
cemetery, rural Stafford Co., KS. Memorials may be given to the Brad Lickiss `
Memorial Fund in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
