Bernard Hudson

Bernard Lee Hudson, age 87, passed away on Oct. 21, 2019 at Leisure Homestead, St. John.  He was born on Dec. 1, 1931 at Melbourne, MO, the son of John and Chlora (Gleason) Hudson.  On June 16, 1956 he married Lillian R. (Romero) at Lyons Point, LA.  Bernard built concrete grain elevators for Borton LLC.  He has been a resident of St. John since 2005.  Survivors include his wife Lillian; daughters, Carol Steinman, Beaumont, TX, Mary Johnson (Byron), Yucca Valley, CA, Susy Mondello (Curtis), Porum OK; sons, Rick Hudson, Stafford, KS, Allen Hudson, Idaho Springs, CO, Gerry Hudson (Lupe), St. John, KS; a brother, James Robert Hudson, Bois D’Arc, MO; a sister, Linda Ishmael, Bethany, MO; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.  A private family service will take place at a later date.  Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS, in charge of arrangements.
