Audrey Nusser

Audrey Faye (Shepherd) Nusser , age 77, passed away at her home in St. John on July 5, 2015. She was born on June 14, 1938 in Sylvia, KS, the daughter of James and Mildred Shepherd. She was a resident of St. John since 1968 having worked for First National Bank, St. John for 30 Yrs. On June 16, 1956, she married Lee Eldon Nusser in Sylvia, KS, he preceeded her in death in 2003. Her memberships included First United Methodist Church, UMW, Red Hats, Martha Rebekah Lodge#425, St. John Booster Club, Election Board, Progressive Mother’s Club and volunteered at the local Thrift Store.
Survivors include 2-sons , Phillip Nusser (Janice), St. John, KS, Kelly Nusser (Beth), Lyons, KS; a daughter , Lori Nusser, St. John, KS; two sisters , Joy Moeckel (Bud), Hays, KS, Sharon Smith, St. John, KS; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren . She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, brothers William and Myron Shepherd, sisters, Marilyn Kaye, June and Janie.
Funeral service will be 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church, St. John with Pastors Nate Gift and Robbie Fall presiding. Burial will follow in the Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John. Visitation will be from 1-7 P.M., on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the funeral home, with family present from 5-7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church, USD 350 Education Foundation or Gentiva Hospice all in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS 67576.
