Angela Marie Montgomery

St. John, KS ~

Angela Marie Montgomery was born Feb 5, 1972, to Raymond and Sherry (Pedersen) Montgomery. The youngest of five children, Angie spoke fondly of childhood memories of vacations with her family, shopping with her mother, and a deep love for sharing ice cream with her father.

A lifelong resident of Kansas, Angie was a St. John resident for the last 17 years. She attended cosmetology school in Hutchinson, KS, and had worked in insurance sales in Pratt and St. John, but most importantly was a homemaker.

Angie was most proud of her three daughters and doted over her beloved grandchildren, whom she cherished more than anything. She and her love, Trent, built a life for themselves over many years and happily watched their family grow. Angie enjoyed writing poetry, fishing, crossword puzzles, her late-night funny talk shows, and spending time with family and her best boy, Bosco and most recently she enjoyed sewing, quilting and crafting. She never missed an opportunity to crack a quick-witted joke and had a contagious laugh that filled any room. Her daughters inherited her sense of humor; never on time for anything, her daughters joked that Angie would be late to her own funeral. Sadly, Angie unexpectedly passed away on July 19th, 2026, in Stafford, KS. She was 54.

Although Angie will be forever missed, the family rejoices in knowing that she has been welcomed into the kingdom of god, reunited with her loved ones, and is free of pain.

Carrying her memory forward are her life partner, Trent Harman, St. John, KS; three daughters, Destiny Adams, Pratt, KS; Samantha (Brayden) Murray, Great Bend, KS; Tyler (Dylan) Clark, Inman, KS; a sister Debbie Kingsbury, three brothers, Scotty, Raymond Jr., and Tony Montgomery, eight grandchildren, Kaelym, Layton, Lydia, Tynlee, Laynee, Hunter, Harper and Watson.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to the Crisis Center of Dodge City in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 34, St. John, KS. Condolences may be left online at www.minnischapel.net.

Angie dedicated Lee Ann Womack’s “I hope you Dance” to her daughters. “whenever we hear it, we will be reminded of her unwavering wish that we live boldly, love deeply and never lose our sense of wonder.” We love you, Mom. Wrap your arms around yourself and give yourself a hug from us— your girls.
